About Us
ESL of Southwest Michigan, a program of the Kalamazoo Literacy Council, offers ESL classes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10:00-1:30. We have beginning, intermediate, and advanced classes that meet during these times. We work on improving your listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English. We also design lessons to improve your cultural understanding and to help you meet your personal goals. We have a wonderful, supportive community of adult learners here. We would love for YOU to join us!
In addition to having amazing students at ESL of SWMI, we also have a great group of teachers and volunteers.
Vicki Konzen has been teaching ESL for many years, has a Masters in TESOL from Western Michigan University, and will always greet you with a smile and a hug. Vicki will do everything she can to help you and to get help for you.
Connie Sandelin joined the ESL team five years ago and loves it! Connie has a Masters in TESL from the University of Cincinnati. She smiles a lot, too, and will help you toward your goals.
